I am sorry for the delay, but the PRINT12 program and the FOILPRT
program have now been combined into a program called GRAFPRT which is
now available on the IBMPC disk as GRAFPRT COMTBH. There is also a
sample LIST file called GRAFPRT LSTTBH which should also be retrieved.
On your PC, these files should be named GRAFPRT.COM and GRAFPRT.LST.
The program copies PC-DOS files containing imbedded control characters
to your printer. The output is "printed" using either an emphasized
12-pitch character set or an oversized 6-pitch character set (specified
by an "SO" or an ESC-W-n sequence in the file). The program requires
either the IBM Graphics Printer or an Epson MX-80 (with GRAFTRAX-80 or
GRAFTRAX+).
The 12-pitch characters are dots, but approach "correspondence quality."
The purpose of the 6-pitch character set is the preparation of overhead
projection foils. In fact, since the letters are a full 1/6" tall, the
text must be double-spaced to be readable.
The full upper- and lower-case ASCII character set is supported. Also
provided are arrow-heads, "box" graphics, a "bullet," a "copyright"
symbol, a "trademark" symbol and a "broken-arrow" (new-line symbol).
The program contains logic to convert lines and figures -- drawn with
plus-signs, minus-signs and vertical-bars -- to the appropriate "box"
graphics and arrow-heads, resulting in a "solid" line or figure.
The program recognizes many control characters and supports underlining.
However, if two characters are "overstruck," only the second will be
visible. Tabs are pre-set every eight positions. Characters past the
96th on any given line will be ignored.
There is also special logic to support most of the features of PCSCRIPT
when its output is written to a disk file and then passed to GRAFPRT.
The current version of the GRAFPRT program has no options. Just enter:
GRAFPRT filename
If the filename extension is not supplied, "LST" will be assumed. The
program will reset the printer, so please align the forms first.

GRAFPRT COMTBH and GRAFPRT LSTTBH have been updated. There was a bug in
the program where tabs did not expand properly in "wide" mode. Also, a
third page was added to the LST file containing a "foil" layout sheet to
simplify the preparation of "foils" using GRAFPRT in "wide" mode.
